Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages project coordinators and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective workforce utilization.
  • Develops plans that are appropriate, comprehensive and effective in the scheduling of subcontractors for the successful completion of work.
  • Communicates and meets with the customers on a regular basis providing continual updates regarding project status and issues to effectively manage customer expectations.

Requirements:

          Production Control Coordinator

          Responsibilities:
          • Schedules with outside vendors and coordinate materials
          • Maintains production schedules for wireless division and continuously monitors progress on daily work schedules to assure that satisfactory progress is being made to meet customer demands.
          • Processes MRP jobs in ERP system
          • Firms up MRP jobs for Arms and Hardware
          • Reviews and updates operations in ERP system
          • Creates purchase orders
          • Contributes to the team effort by effectively communicating and working well with members of other departments and personnel to accomplish assigned tasks and projects.

          Requirements:
          • 2 years recent related experience working in steel manufacturing environment is preferred.

          Department Assistant (Shipping)

          Sioux City, IA

          Responsibilities:
          • Receives and maintains all job files for the Wireless Division.
          • Completes color coding of Master Bill of Material.
          • Verifies part numbers and quantities of material match the material queue.
          • Assists in completion of bundle and miscellaneous operations in Epicor.
          • Communicates status and/or issues to other departments.
          • Completes Approval Process within Epicor for all wireless shipments.

            EHS Manager

            Responsibilities:
            • Drive strategy of continuous improvement for EHS Initiatives
            • Comply with all environmental, health and safety federal, state, local regulations and company policies.
            • Perform Risk Assessments with all departments to determine the potential hazards of new processes and projects (capital projects and others) and ensure that all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations, along with industry standards, (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH) are followed.
            • Work very closely and cooperatively with site leadership to bring safety improvement actions and focus by bringing balance between production and safety.
            • On monthly basis, lead an executive overview of safety to senior STS leadership providing trends, paretos and corrective action analysis.

            • Drive Safety Management Programs to help reduce accidents
            • Manage EHS reporting
            • Manage Workers' Compensation program by partnering with HR and carrier to help reduce costs.

            Industrial Maintenance Technician (Days)

            Sioux City, IA

            Responsibilities:
            • Performs diagnosis, testing, disassembly, inspecting, repair and re-assembly of plant equipment or components such as hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic shear, vacuum equipment, roller leveler, cranes, electrical boards and components, etc.
            • Performs skilled trouble shooting and servicing of pneumatic and hydraulic components.
            • Performs proper replacement and/or adjustment of mechanical clutches, drive trains, etc.
            • Repairs worn parts, straightens and fabricates fixtures (welding, cutting, brazing, and surface hardening applications).
            • Assists personnel and operators in proper direction of equipment repairs.
            • Performs major and general repairs on all equipment.
            • Records labor and material used on each repair made.
            • Takes proper care and use of test equipment.
            • Properly uses lift equipment (cranes, booms, manlifts, cherry picker, etc.)
            • Exercises communication skills pertaining to the job.
            • Handles production coverage with little or no supervision as needed. .
            • Reports all abnormal conditions and safety hazards to supervisor.
            • Performs housekeeping and other routine tasks as directed.
            • Works safely, and to follow safe working practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and other safety procedures.
            • Effectively uses the Epicore/Vantage computer system to report data, check job schedules, inventory levels, routings, bill of materials, as well as, train new and existing employees.

Duties include, but are not limited to, operating overhead to determine layout dimensions, marking bend locations on plates to within 1/32", positioning plates on the press for forming, and operating handling equipment for removal of formed pieces.

                      Responsibilities:
                      • Runs, maneuvers, navigates or drives heavy equipment or mechanized equipment in paint booth area, such as forklifts, cranes/overhead cranes, liquid coating equipment, trucks, etc.
                      • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from paint booth, blast or production areas by hand or using trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
                      • Follow blue prints for the coating dimensions and measurements accurately on a regular basis.
                      • Efficiently use computer systems and software to collect labor hours and track process information on each job.
                      • Ensure all painted products meet Sabre quality requirements, minimize downtime, and promote efficiency and uptime. Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.

                      Responsibilities:
                      • Preparing complete and accurate AutoCAD fabrication drawings of steel transmission and utility structures as designed by STS engineering personnel
                      • Utilizing STS Engineering information, manufacturing parameters and customer’s technical specifications to create drawings
                      • Adheres to and has sound knowledge of all STS Drafting Dept. standards, policies and processes
                      • Creating part numbers for standard and custom parts

                      Weld Trainee - (May Session)

                      Sioux City, IA

                      Responsibilities:
                      • Manually positions pole assembly in pole rollers into proper position for welding.  Reads and interprets drawings (including weld symbols) and specifications to determine proper location of attachments, as well as weld size and configuration.
                      • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides feet, inches, fractions, and decimals. Uses tables to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
                      • Adjust welding machines to achieve desired results within parameters of established welding procedures. Frequently pushes pulls and lifts up to 50 pounds.
                      • Uses GMAC or FCAW welding process to weld small components or assemblies.
                      • Uses chipping hammer, wire brush, motorized grinders, and motorized wire brush at various times to clean welded areas.
                      • Uses pneumatic drills and magnetic drills to drill carious size holes on pole assembly as required by drawings and specifications.
                      • Uses a weld gauge to measure weld size, standard and metric.

                      Requirements:
                      • Minimal previous weld experience. Previous experience could include courses taken through a high school shop class, welding as a hobby, etc.
                      • Must be able to read and write in the English language.
                      • Must possess a solid ability to learn to read and interpret blue prints and drawings, be proficient with reading a tape measure, and be detail oriented.
                      • Ability to climb and descend ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, reach, and grasp.

                      Drafter

                      Responsibilities:
                      • Perform support tasks under limited supervision

                              Responsibilities:
                              • Maintain all equipment as required by the equipment supplier and Sabre operating guidelines
                              • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment
                              • Fabricate necessary jigs, stands, racks, and specialized equipment, etc. as required
                              • Work with and/or supervise specialized contract labor as required
